The Lack of Research

You will not believe how many say they oppose abortion and support marriage between a man and a woman, yet voted for Obama. Can one be so dense? These are their official stances, one need just look:

Official Democratic stance: "We support the full inclusion of all families, including same-sex couples, in the life of our nation, and support equal responsibility, benefits, and protections. We will enact a comprehensive bipartisan employment non-discrimination act. We oppose the Defense of Marriage Act and all attempts to use this issue to divide us." "The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to choose a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay, and we oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right."

Official Republican stance: "...we call for a constitutional amendment that fully protects marriage as a union of a man and a woman, so that judges cannot make other arrangements equivalent to it. "...we assert the inherent dignity and sanctity of all human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution, and we endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to unborn children."

McCain and Palin are clear on their stance in regards to marriage and abortion, even with Palin not chosing to abort her baby with down syndrome. What about Biden? As a Catholic he is convinced abortion is the killing of a human, yet he lacks the moral fortitude to stand up for the murder of millions by sitting on the sidelines. Biden is inconsistent and a coward for not standing up for humans he believes are being murdered.

Surprise anyone? The facts are there, and too many are fooled, ignorant, or have inconsistent character when they vote. If you made a mistake this voting round, don't let it happen next time. One's beliefs and moral convictions should match up with how they vote.

Jason, I totally understand your viewpoint. However, the issues of abortion and gay marriage are NOT my main topics as a voter. Did you know that both McCain AND Obama are pro-abortion?

For me, I vote for education, the end of war, and health care. You may think I'm ignorant. But I don't believe I am.

Love you! :)

My priorities are the value and sanctity of life, as well as upholding the biblical example of marriage. What good is the education of children if we murder them by the millions?

Please show me where McCain said he was pro-abortion. When we elect a president, we don't elect just two people, but an entire idea system and others who will be appointed by them, many who will serve for a lifetime. For that reason I have to vote with the beliefs of the party because it is those respective parties who will be making decisions based on their official political stances.

I love you too Liz, I just think saving millions of innocent children from a horrible brutal murder should be the number one priority of Christians.

Hmm...I had heard that McCain was pro-choice in a magazine, but I just found a website that said he is pro-life. Sorry about that! I totally understand where you are coming from, Jason. I hate that elections make people so divided.

See you tomorrow!

Elections show where people's true convictions and priorities are. For those that believe abortion is the killing of a human life, they should be consistent in how they vote to prevent these murders. Never should they compromise and vote for a person or ideology who believes, supports and upholds infanticide, as Obama and the Democratic party clearly stand firm on. Abortion is not the only issue, but it is a critical issue whose implication and stance on carries over to many other areas of belief and action. As one who upholds the value of innocent life, I could never justify and silently ignore the millions being murdered in lieu of another issue.

What I am most upset about is the inconsistency and skewed priorities in how many people voted, as well as those that voted on feelings instead of facts. I'm not at all surprised by the division Liz. Jesus didn't come to bring unity with the world, he brought division. Too many Christians are weak or improperly equipped to stand up for biblical morals and truth.
