Thank God I don't get my way

I am glad that God does not always answer prayers to my will. Sometimes I will ask for things according to my will, and when they don't work out the way I wanted them to it can sometimes upset me, but often in hind site I will say, "What was I thinking!?". Which is why it is all the better to ask for God's will, not ours.

hah! the G4 was the most powerful, most efficient. And the G5 was even better than that. But IBM couldn't push out enough power per cycle, so Apple moved to Intel. And Intel has proven to be very good, but only after they got over their own hurdles. And the only way they could do that was multicore architecture. OS X still runs one hundred times better than Windows - it's still a joy to use. I've only re-installed twice on this machine. My home-brew desktop? I lost count. But I only use it for Rosetta Stone. I haven't touched my PC in months, because I hate Windows. It's wrong in so many ways. Once you go Mac - the Unix core, the interface, the speed - it's really tough to go back to an inferior OS.

I was a Mac guy, I switched the other way. I used Mac for some college work, and I support Macs at work, and have no intention to switch back. There are people at my work who have been using their work Mac for years and they still don't like it. I have no need to preach (though I had to preach Mac when I was a fanatic), but at least be realistic about it. 100% better? Superfluous. All OSes have their problems, yet since Windows 2000 it has ran so stable. When Windows has a problem, it is most likely due to bad hardware, bad drivers, user error or weird installed software. I have Vista on both my laptop & desktop since it first came out, and no issues. I have broken G5 sitting behind me because of known overheating issues. Having a very closed ecosystem (Mac) vs a quite open ecosystem (PC) both have their pros and cons. I chose choice. I'm not dogging the Mac, as it has its place, I'm just presenting the facts as they are. Its hard to dismiss how much productivity is accomplished with Microsoft software by 95% of the world on a daily basis.

At least we are united in Christ and some of our musical and movie tastes are the same, eh?
